Neighbors helping neighbors

Free help with the yard, the house, and the errands

Look to Help is run by our family, with the help of volunteers who live nearby. If the yard, the housework, or getting to the store has gotten to be too much, let us take a turn. There is never a charge.

Helping on someone else's behalf? You can fill out the request for them.

What we help with

Here is what our volunteers can do for you. It is all free.

Lawn work
Mowing, edging, weeding, trimming shrubs, raking leaves, bagging debris, and clearing walkways and steps.
Household cleaning
Kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting, laundry help, taking out trash, and general tidying so the home feels manageable again.
Grocery shopping
We take your list, do the shopping, bring the bags in, and put things away if you would like the help.
Running errands
Picking up prescriptions, dropping off mail, returning items, and other quick stops around town.

How it works

  1. 1. Tell us what you need

Fill out the short form. We ask a few questions about your home so we know what to bring.

  2. 2. We call you

Someone reads your request and calls you to go over the details.

  3. 3. We pick a day

We find volunteers who are free and tell you the day, the time, and who is coming.

Volunteer with us

You do not need special skills — just a willingness to work and to treat people with respect. Most jobs take two to three hours on a weekend morning. Apply once and we will contact you when a job fits your availability.
